We are proud of Ryan the newest recruit into the LDT Design family! He has just been named as North Yorkshire’s Intern Of The Year at the 2011 Graduate Yorkshire Internship Of The Year Awards. We took Ryan on last year on a three month internship and his talent and commitment paid off and lead to a permanent position.
We knew that Ryan had all the right skills and previous experience to join our business and we were keen to let him loose in the commercial world so he could put his skills into practice. Well done Ryan, Enjoy the Champagne....we hope this will be one of many awards for you and LDT Design!

Unique & groundbreaking sink design
LDT Design worked with Astracast to produce their unique ROK TEX sink range. Astracast approached LDT Design to help them develop a unique sink range to compliment their new material
We assisted Britain’s leading manufacturer of kitchen sinks and taps, looking at material trends, shapes and colours, before coming up not only with a product that is perfectly suited to the current trend for natural stone in the home, but one that is unique, innovative and technically advanced.
LDT Design worked on the project from concept through to final detail design and handover of 3D Data for tooling.

Curv Kiosk range is launched
The new Curv range of products was launched by 10 Squared Ltd in March 2011 at the Retail Business Technology Expo at Earls Court, London. LDT Design were responsible for the concept design and visionary work involved with developing this contemporary range and worked with engineers at 10 Squared to ensure the original design intent was maintained throughout the production engineering phases.
The range was very popular and a number of large retailers have expressed an interest because it offers unrivalled design style in a modular and scalable form. We designed six pieces of furniture in the final range all stylish, simple, elegant, flexible, modular and scalable.

Business growth leads to office move
LDT Design have secured new work over the last 12 months which has lead to their business growing and a requirement for more space. We didn’t call Kirsty and Phil on this occasion but we did find a great design studio with workshop area based at Britain’s first green enterprise business centre located in York, North Yorks.
The Eco Business Centre is a £3 million building created using green technologies and recycled building materials where possible. Ground source heat pumps use energy from the earth to heat and cool offices, a wind turbine generates energy and controls link the lighting to daylight levels.
The Eco Centre is the perfect place for LDT Design, a great space, inspiring building and most importantly environmentally friendly helping to reduce our carbon footprint.
