This policy applies to you if you use our services or purchase prototypes from us. This means it applies if you:
(a) Have purchased our services by email, skype or over the phone.
(b) Have purchased prototypes from us by email, skype or over the phone
(c) Have expressed interest in our services or prototypes, by either signing up for our newsletter, having had a visit from our Design Director or one of our Designers, or if you have contacted us about our services / prototypes via telephone, email or skype.

What information do we collect?
Information we receive from you:
We will receive personal information such as your name, company name, position, email address, telephone number and company address.
Information we collect from you:
We collect information that is relevant to current and potential project we may be working on with you and we collect this on our Confidentiality Agreement, Quotation and specifications documents. We may want to use information about the project we have worked on with you on our website in our case study section or on our social media accounts once your project is complete but we will always ask for your written agreement before using any project information.
The information we collect online is contact and marketing information so that we can provide you with an efficient service. Website usage information is collected via cookies and Google analytics.
How do we collect it?
We obtain it either directly from yourself when you confirm your contact information on our quotation to begin a project, when you use the contact us form on our website, give your information to our Design Director or one of our designers, or when you email us or telephone us directly. We may also collect your information, with your permission, from trade shows we exhibit at or networking events that we attend.
Why do we collect the information?
(a) We need to process your personal data so that we can manage your customer account, provide you with the goods and services we think are maybe of interest to you, and with information on services or prototypes you may want to buy and help you with any orders you may ask for.
(b) We collect your contact details so that we can enter your details on to the accounting package Xero that we use in order to be able to send you invoices relating to your project.
(c) In processing your account application we may send your details to, and also use information from credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies.
(d) To help us to determine the effectiveness of promotional advertising and campaigns.
(e) For our Internal record keeping.
(f) We may use the information to improve our products and services.
(g) We may periodically send newsletters or promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think will be of interest to you / your business using the email address which you have provided.
(h) From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone or mail. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.
(J) If you would rather not receive any forms of marketing information from us, please let us know by clicking the unsubscribe button on our emails, by emailing us directly, or by calling our office.
(K) LDT Design Limited will not trade, share or sell your personal information to others.
Who will your data be shared with?
(a) We may need to share your information with our 3rd party Sub Contractors appointed specifically on a project you undertake with LDT Design. At this point we would already have a confidentiality agreement in place with you if required and your consent would have been given to share this information.
(b) Your information will also be shared with employees of LDT Design Limited in order for them to be able to work on your project. Our employees are also bound by a confidentiality agreement that is part of their employment contract.
(c) We also enter your information on to a 3rd party Customer Relationship Manager System that we use called Kula Hub that is a fully GDPR compliant package.
(d) We enter your information into the accounting package Xero that we use in order to send you invoices relating to your project.
(e) We may share your information with funding bodies but we would always obtain your consent before doing this.
Email Marketing Campaigns
(a) Email marketing campaigns published by LDT Design Limited may contain tracking facilities within the actual email. Subscriber activity is tracked and stored in a database for future analysis and evaluation. Such tracked activity may include; the opening of emails, forwarding of emails, the clicking of links within the email content, times, dates and frequency of activity [this is by no means a comprehensive list]. This information is used to refine future email campaigns and supply the user with more relevant content based around their activity.
(b) In compliance with legislation, subscribers are given the opportunity to unsubscribe at any time through an automated system. This process is detailed at the footer of each email campaign.
(a) Although this website only looks to include informative, safe and relevant external links, users are advised to adopt a policy of caution before clicking on any external web links mentioned throughout this website.
(b) The owners of this website cannot guarantee or verify the contents of any externally linked website despite their best efforts. Like most websites we use Google analytics to provide information on all of our users. This obtains, technical information not personal information but it does establish the internet protocol (IP) address of the computer you are using. We can also see how you found your way to our website, i.e. from a Search Engine.
We then analyse this information closely to help improve the website for our users both in terms of content and functionality.
